LIFE GROUPS...Get Connected
Life Groups is Victory's small group ministry. It encompasses two basic types of groups: Free Market and Service. Free Market groups are groups that are created by one or more members of the congregation and are generally based around a theme. The themes run from recreational pursuits like hiking or golf to Bible and book studies. These groups are renewed three times a year in our "semester" cycle. Free Market groups may be started by any member at the beginning of any semester. The other types of groups are Service Groups and they exist to serve the general congregation in a number of ways. Service groups include the Usher/Greeter team, Cleaning team, and Sound team to name a few.

To join a Service Group or any of the Free Market Groups, simply request a Life Group Directory from the Welcome Center and contact the group leader by phone or e-mail. Another alternative is to join a group at the Rally Day Celebration when representatives from all the groups, Free Market and Service put their groups on display in the Lobby. Rally Days precede the start of each semester. For information on the next Rally Day, inquire at the Welcome Center or simply call or e-mail the main office.
Paul the Apostle in his letter to the Ephesian Church said all that needs to be said about the necessity of every believer's connection to a local body. He wrote, "From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love" (Ephesians 4:16, KJV). In short, we as parts of the Body of Christ are designed to function in a body environment that enables us to both receive ministry and to minister. This requires connection to the Body, and Life Groups are a great way to accomplish this connection.
